Kelly Fischer is from Memphis, Tennessee, but now lives in Bern, Switzerland, where she was the founder and headmistress of the English Montessori School.

In all, Kelly has over 25 years teaching experience dedicated to providing an inspirational classroom environment and has also maintained her own academic studies, including Education / Sociology (University of Memphis), Early Childhood Special Education, English as a Second Language, and on-going study - a Masters in Painting and Drawing, at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco.

Now a full-time author, Kelly has published five books, each beautifully illustrated by her colleague Michelle Duckworth, graduate of the Memphis Collage of Art. Kelly gets enormous pleasure from creating the characters and writing her stories for children and says...
"I've always loved watching the children respond to what I create."

Kelly is the founder and director of KTF-Writers-Studio and now devotes most of her time to her writing and painting - as well as trying to meet requests for guest author visits and readings!
